Barn Studio Ceramics is a family-run paint-your-own pottery and craft studio in Solihull, offering a creative and relaxing space for all ages. Ceramic items start from £10, with most in the £12.50 – £25 range, while larger pots can cost up to £45. Clay experiences are priced at £40 for one person, or £25 each for two or more people.

Features

Select the item you would like to paint from our large selection of plates, mugs, bowls, plaques, pots, piggy banks, and more. Each item is priced, and the cost includes the item, all paints, glazing and firing.
Get creative and paint your pottery. We have lots of samples for inspiration and all the tools you need – brushes, sponges, stamps, dotters, and pens. Try washes of colour, bold splashes, marbling, intricate patterns, hand and footprinting, finger painting and more. Staff are on hand to give you help and advice.
When your masterpiece is complete leave your pottery for us to hand glaze and fire. It will be ready in about 7-14 days. Let us know if you need it sooner, and we will do our best to accommodate. If you have used acrylic paints, you will be able to take your pottery home with you.
We will contact you when your pottery is ready to collect. Collection day is a Saturday, or you can arrange another time to collect. We can also post your pottery to you, or we can keep your pottery for up to 2 months. If you can’t come to the studio to paint, order a take away paint at home kit, with everything you need in a box, including instructions, paints, brushes, palettes and sponges. When you return the kit, we will glaze and fire the pottery for you.

Creating with clay: Get messy and have fun with clay. You may be surprised at how creative you are! Potter’s Wheel Experience Session – 1-2 hours A fun introduction to the potter’s wheel with tuition. Great for individuals, couples, and small groups. It is also good fun to watch! You will have a potter guide you.
Decopatch: Decopatch is the colourful ‘paint without paint’ papercraft. With beautiful papers it is easy to transfer an ordinary object or a ceramic/papier mache blank into a fantastic work of art. You can even transform a chest of drawers or table. It is an easy and relaxing hobby, ideal for individuals or for a different party idea!

Birthday Party Details

Pottery painting

Our parties are suitable for any age.
You can usually have a room to yourselves (over 7 children) and can use the room for up to 2 hours with food if required.
You can bring your own refreshments and cake to have at the table when you’ve finished painting.
Qualified staff are on hand to help and give advice. There are samples for inspiration, and stamps, sponges everything you need to create your masterpiece. After the party we glaze and fire your pottery, and it is ready to collect within 10 days.
