Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary is a volunteer-run, non-profit centre in Whitestake, near Preston, Lancashire, home to over 90 birds of prey from around the world, including eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and vultures. All proceeds from visits, displays, and shows go directly toward the care, feeding, and upkeep of the birds. It’s a place dedicated to conservation, education, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Visitors can enjoy exciting flight displays and engaging Birds of Prey shows. There are also Owl & Hawk Experience Days and a “Falconer for the Day” activity for those wanting hands-on learning. Guests can meet the birds up close, making it a memorable day for families and wildlife lovers.
Entry prices are £12 for adults, £7 for children over 2, and £9 for O.A.Ps.

Turbary Woods, Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary is based in Whitestake, Lostock Hall, near Preston Lancashire in the North West. Turbary Woods is a purely volunteer based, non-profit Sanctuary. All money raised from visitors, outside displays and shows keeps the Sanctuary OPEN. Every penny earned from admissions is spent on the upkeep and the running costs, veterinary bills and feeding the birds.
