Animal Displays and talks: Dare to get up close to a bird of prey or get splashed by a sea lion? Our amazing animal displays are one of our most popular highlights and are perfect for families with children of all ages.
Safari drive: The 5 mile safari drive is the longest in the UK, and home to everything from our cheeky baboons to magnificent lion pride. The drive takes about an hour to complete and the best bit is...you can go around as many times as you want! The route is split into different continental zones where you’ll drive through many habitats and see our collection of animals along the way.
Animal Experiences: Have you ever dreamed of getting up close to a rhino? Maybe you’d love nothing more than to feed a meerkat its breakfast! Perhaps you have a friend or family member who is obsessed with lions or tigers. If that’s the case, Knowsley Safari Animal Experiences are the perfect gift!
Baboon Bus: The car-friendly route on the safari drive allows you to avoid the baboon and lion enclosures, but why would you want to? We don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun and know that many of our guests don’t have a car or are worried about their car becoming damaged.
Animal adoption: If you’re looking for the perfect gift for an animal lover, the animal adoption packs are just £45 and are great for any occasion. It doesn’t matter if you come to the Safari regularly or you just want to contribute towards the conservation of our magnificent animals, every adoption pack makes a huge difference.
Events: Knowsley Safari’s summer events include the Creature Cases: Safari Mission trail (19 July–3 August), an animal-themed detective adventure with crafts; Bubblefest on 3 August, featuring thousands of bubbles and entertainment; and Camp Knowsley (4–31 August), offering outdoor activities like shelter-building and fire-lighting—all included with admission.

Choose to drive the 5-mile safari in your own car or hire a minibus* and let us do all the driving, whilst you sit back and enjoy a thrilling day out! You’ll see so much on our amazing safari dive, including our amazing lion enclosure, our beautiful grazing antelope, lots of cheeky monkeys and our wonderful rhino crash.

By Bus: Taking the bus to Knowsley Safari is a breeze. If you arrive at Prescot Bus Station, simply walk or take a taxi to Knowsley Safari.
By Car: Travelling by car is simple as the Safari is clearly signposted. From M62, exit at junction 6 to join the M57. When you are on the M57, exit at junction 2. When you reach the roundabout, simply follow the brown signs to the safari.
By Train: Prescot train station is only a few minutes taxi ride from Knowsley Safari, or you can walk. The walk takes less than half an hour. Trains arrive at Prescot Station from Liverpool Lime Street every 30 mins.
