Vauxhall City Farm

Vauxhall City Farm, 165 Tyers St, London SE11 5HS, United Kingdom
1-90 Years

Description

Vauxhall City Farm is one of the oldest and most central city farms in London, set on 1.5 acres in the heart of Vauxhall, within earshot of Big Ben and the shadow of the London Eye. Just minutes from the Thames and Westminster, the farm brings a piece of the countryside to the city, attracting over 60,000 visitors each year. As an education charity, the farm offers a wide range of activities including educational, horticultural, and recreational workshops, volunteering opportunities, guided tours, animal handling sessions, and a café called The Old Dairy. Visitors can enjoy meeting farm animals, exploring gardens, and experiencing the sights and smells of an urban farm.

For those wanting a closer experience, the farm offers a “Meet & Greet Experience for Two,” twenty-minute sessions designed for two people, with small animal sessions for ages 4 and up, and large animal sessions for ages 7 and up. A maximum of four people can participate per visit, and all sessions must be booked in advance, as vouchers do not guarantee a space. Animals available for interaction include large animals such as goats, pygmy goats, sheep, alpacas, lambs, and kids (depending on availability), and small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. Entry is free, with a suggested donation of £4.
