Battersea Park Children’s Zoo is a family-friendly zoo in London, specially designed for young children and families. It’s home to over 100 animals from around the world, offering a safe, fun, and educational environment. The zoo is open daily, making it an ideal destination all year round.

Children can meet monkeys, meerkats, lemurs, and otters, enjoy the large adventure playground with a real-life fire engine and helicopter, and take part in exciting animal encounters. The zoo also promotes wildlife conservation and learning through play and interaction. Birthday party packages add even more fun with tours, animal feeding, and craft activities.

Admission is £15.95 for adults, £12.95 for children (ages 2–15), and £50 for a family of four. Children under 2 enter free.

  • Baby changing: There is a Family Room for baby feeding and changing.

Zoo birthday parties include:

  • A tour of the zoo where children will learn fun facts about the animals and answer clues to lead them onto the next stage of the tour.
  • The chance to handle some of the zoo’s minibeasts.
  • A feeding experience with one of our farm animals.
  • An animal themed craft activity.
  • The birthday child gets to paint a brick on ‘The Birthday Wall of Fame’!
  • Minimum Numbers: 15 children
  • Maximum Numbers: 23 children at all times
  • £29.50 per child with one accompanying adult free
  • Additional adults £13.95

(Party food and goody bags are included and guests can stay on and enjoy the zoo after the party has finished)

  • By Bus: 44, 452,137 are the buses which stop closest to the zoo, alight at 'Chelsea Gate' bus stop. All these other buses stop close to the park 19, 49, 156,170, 239, 314, 319, 344, 345
  • By Car: Battersea Park is on the south side of the river Thames, between Albert Bridge and Chelsea Bridge. Enter the park through Chelsea Gate. The pay and display car park is on the right and the zoo entrance is a 2 minute walk straight along the path. The roads around the park are generally for residents only with a few pay and display bays, however there is parking close by.
  • By Train:  Battersea Park Station: Exit the station to the right and walk along Battersea Park Road for 50m to the traffic lights. Take the right into Queenstown Road, walk 150m and the park is on the left. Queenstown Road Station: Exit the station to the right along Queenstown Road, walk 300m and the park is on the left.
