  • The museum: Take a look around the nine exhibitions.   • Farm Park: War Horse Valley Country Farm Park features a wide variety of animals, including Joey the bay horse, miniature Shetland ponies Syrup and Saffron, Devon Long Wool and Charollais sheep, five alpacas named Mocha, Cappuccino, Latte, Espresso, and Frappy, geese Gertie and Gregory, chickens laying organic eggs, rabbit Dotty, pigs, ducks including call ducks and runner ducks, and friendly goats Rosie, Custard, and Maria.
  • Farm Trail: The circular ½ mile trail begins at the farm entrance and is marked by 15 granite rollers, each featuring a letter that together forms a name or place. The walk passes the farmyard pond, Devon earth-banked hedgerows over 1,000 years old, views of Iddesleigh village with thatched cottages, and Pixton Brook. The trail continues through woodland and a watercress pond before returning to Joey’s paddock and the Conservatory Tea Room, where visitors can enjoy Devonshire cream tea, coffee, and cakes. The trail is hilly in places, and wellies are recommended.
  • Fun and Games: Children can enjoy a table tennis table with bats and balls, a football pitch, toy tractors and cars, a sandpit, a playground with swings and a slide, and tractor-style pedal karts.
  • Warhorse Valley Trailer Ride: A tractor and trailer ride runs at 3:40 pm on weekends and school/bank holidays from 5th April to 30th September 2025. The ride lasts until 4:20 pm, traversing the fields, and costs £1 per person in addition to entry.
  • Group Bookings: Pre-booked groups of 15 or more may arrange visits on weekdays.

  • PLEASE NOTE THE ROAD IS CURRENTLY CLOSED ON SOUTH STREET IN HATHERLEIGH, HOWEVER ALTERNATIVE ACCESS IS VIA MARKET STREET, THEN TURN RIGHT FOR PARK ROAD. THIS WILL BRING YOU BACK ENROUTE TOWARDS WAR HORSE VALLEY.
