World of Wings is Scotland’s largest birds of prey centre, home to a wide range of magnificent hawks, eagles, owls, falcons, buzzards, vultures and other exotic species. It offers an exciting and unique day out just outside Glasgow for families, wildlife lovers and photographers. With daily flying displays, it brings visitors up close to some of the world’s most impressive birds.

The centre features regular flying shows, one-on-one falconry tuition experiences and monthly photography mornings (March–October). Seasonal events such as “Owls in the Dark” offer magical night-time owl-flying experiences with light displays. Guests can relax at the Cabin Café serving freshly cooked lunches, tea, coffee and cakes.

Admission prices are Adult & Child over 12: £12, Child under 12: £7, Children under 3: FREE, Family (2A-2C): £35, and OAP/Student/Carer/Disabled: £10. Owl in the Dark special event tickets cost Adults £25, Children £15 and Family (2A-2C) £60.

Overall, World of Wings combines education, conservation and thrilling close encounters with birds of prey. With flying displays three times a day (11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm) from Thursday to Sunday, it provides plenty of action for visitors of all ages. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable wildlife experience in Scotland.

  • Owls in the dark: You really can’t beat seeing an owl in its natural habitat – in the dark. This winter you’ll have the chance to see a selection of our owls flying at night (with a little bit of a light show from us to help us all enjoy the spectacle). us all enjoy the spectacle). Come and join us for a magical evening event focussed on the most famous of the nocturnal hunters… the owls!
  • Falconry Tuition: Our one-on-one introduction to falconry is designed for people who are interested in taking up falconry in Scotland. Although you might have been thinking about becoming a falconer for years, the prospect of taking on a bird can be daunting. 
  • Flying displays: Nothing beats the feeling of an owl hovering low over your head, watching a falcon stoop to the lure or seeing a vulture gracefully soar above your head. Here at World of Wings we offer the perfect opportunity to get up close with our birds.
  • Photography: Photography mornings are normally held once every month from March – October with specific details published on our Facebook and Twitter pages. These dedicated mornings are located offsite, away from the general public and are held in a more natural setting than the World of Wings centre.
