Bringhurst Primary School is a State Primary school for kids aged 4 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )
At Bringhurst they pride ourselves on the educational performance and the positive, nurturing environment where they encourage every child to build confidence and achieve their best. At the heart of everything they do is inspiring children to achieve excellence in all walks of life at school, beyond and in the future. They seek to broaden the horizons of each and every one of the students, helping them to achieve at the highest level both academically and through their talents outside the classroom. Through the support of the David Ross Education Trust, unrivalled sporting and music opportunities coupled with our Enrichment Promises allow the students to explore the world around them and deepen their knowledge and understanding.
Curriculum
They consider it important to embrace all the experiences of children in school when planning the Curriculum. At Bringhurst they want the children to develop a love for reading. We will support them to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence so they can make a difference in the world, and above all things, they want the children to be kind. The curriculum helps us to achieve these aims. They teach a carefully sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum which aims to inspire pupils and promote excellent outcomes for all. The curriculum content has been carefully chosen by the own subject experts and is organised in a coherent way, ensuring children can build on their knowledge from year to year. In this way, the knowledge in the curriculum is cumulative, constructing firm foundations and schema from which children can progress and develop deeper conceptual understanding and subject-specific knowledge and skills over time.
Special Education Needs and Disability
Bringhurst Primary School is committed to providing an appropriate and high quality education for all the children living in the local community. They value all children equally and believe that all children, including those identified as having Special Education Needs (SEN), have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life.
Enrichment
As a David Ross Education Trust Academy we believe that enrichment can help to raise academic standards, enhance performance and teach life skills that will equip the pupils for an ever-changing world.Primary enrichment gives students the chance to participate in activities that supplement learning and enable them to broaden their skills and experiences, identify talent and enhance it.
