Strathearn School is a girls only schools that caters for girls between 11-18 years.

The pupils are at the centre of what they do here, and our pastoral system supports our girls as they grow up during their time with us, reaching their academic potential and maturing into well-rounded contributors to society. Facilities

Curriculum
In Strathearn they aim to challenge the pupils in all of their taught subjects. The pupils engage in a stimulating learning environment from which they gain reflective and independent learning and ensure that all of our pupils feel challenged and fulfilled.The pupils are taught through a number of distinct learning areas. Strathearn School works in partnership between parents and pupils and staff and if you have any queries regarding the curriculum, please contact Mr Anderson, our Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning.

Things to note

Sport
Hockey is traditionally our main winter team sport, we offer a number of different activities including netball, cross country, badminton, gymnastics, dance, football and fitness. During the summer term athletics, tennis, cricket and rounders are on offer.From this sound platform, pupils’ skills and abilities are nurtured and developed. In the range of sports offered they have pupil representatives at local, regional, national and international level in various age categories.Those pupils who have a keen interest in other sports such as horse riding, golf, trampolining, squash and swimming are supported by the PE Department and many represent the school in competitive events

Music
There is a packed calendar of musical events here at Strathearn. From the autumn musical evening to the spring concert, there are opportunities for pupils to develop their musical skills and share their love of music with others through performance. 

Drama
Strathearn has a strong Drama tradition. From Junior Drama and House Plays, which sees senior girls write and direct original works, to a biennial musical production with Campbell College Belfast, there are many opporunities to get involved both on stage and behind the scenes.

Other Activities
Pupils at Strathearn will find a great variety of other clubs and societies in which to get involved. They have a popular Art Club, and the pupil-led Eco-Committee looks to galvanise the school community into action to look after our planet. The Library hosts a weekly Book Club, and there's Coding for those looking to enhance their computing skills. The Scripture Union attracts a loyal membership, and those wishing to develop their skills of debate participate in Public Speaking and Mock Trials.
