Features

Things to note

  • Even from the age of four they have stimulating extra-curricular activities such as choir and ballet, along with a whole host of sports and enrichment activities.
  • 100+ clubs and activities offer students exciting opportunities during lunch breaks or after school. Some sports clubs run seasonally.
  • There’s a huge range of sports to choose from. From the more traditional netball, hockey, and gymnastics to less familiar sports like paddle- boarding and bouldering.
  • Dance is also well served, with an opportunity to participate in both the annual school dance show and a national dance competition. In terms of other performing arts there’s the chance to perform in a wide range of orchestras, choirs and drama productions.
  • Over recent years girls from Years 10-13 have visited Ethiopia, Romania and Malawi running summer schools for local children. These trips have been run in conjunction with the charity CRED, and have been truly life changing experiences for students.
  • Closer to home there are visits to a vast range of museums, galleries and the Sussex coast. Proximity to London also enables us to take in the exhibitions and performances there. Art is a hugely popular subject and student artwork is typically exhibited around the school to inspire and celebrate their creativity.
  • Individual music tuition is organised on a rotating timetable up to Year 9 and then at a regular, fixed time in Years 10 to 13.
  • There are clubs for singing and instrumental and opportunities to perform and to go on trips.
