In the Junior School, girls can join Nursery at the beginning of the term in which they will celebrate their 3rd birthday. They also have more specific information about starting in Reception (4+ entry) and Year 3 (7+ entry). Entry points to the Senior School are usually in September for Years 7, 9 and 12.
Entry at 4+: Reception marks the start of an exciting adventure at Croydon High Junior School. Academic Scholarships for Year 7 Entry: This will be awarded on the basis of performance in the Entrance test on 3 December 2022.
Academic Plus Scholarships for Year 9 Entry: This will be awarded to applicants from external schools who apply for academic scholarship and assessment in: Art & Design, Music, Drama or Sport. Roles and Responsibilities pertaining to this award and further details will be sent on application.
Music, Art & Design, Drama and Sports scholarships for Year 7: For entry in September 2023, the selection process will take place in November/December 2022. Information and entry forms for September 2024 will be available from the Admissions Registrar from Summer 2023.
Sixth Form Scholarships: There will be competitive Academic Scholarship examination on Saturday 12 November 2022, for Year 11 which is open to both internal and external candidates. Croydon High School Academic Scholars will be a small number of girls who show exceptional potential for future academic study. Art, Drama, Music, PE and (occasionally) Technology Scholarships are available for the Sixth Form.
Jacqueline du Pré Sixth Form music scholarship: Applicants should be of a good Grade VII standard but, in exceptional cases, a candidate who has achieved a distinction at Grade VI might be considered. This scholarship is open to both internal and external candidates. Auditions were held in December 2022. Information and entry forms are available from the Music Department at school.
At the end of Lower Sixth: The Jenny Park Award for girls studying English & the Arts is awarded. Scholarship Trust Awards for girls studying a science, humanity, art, modern language are also available.
