Throughout the entry process, you will be guided by experienced Admissions Team, who will answer your questions, arrange any visits you may require, and explain next steps for applying for a place at Dean Close. Following a visit to the school (in-person or online), the Admissions Team will guide you through the following steps.
1. Register for a place: Registration provisionally reserves a place for your child at the school. Candidates must be registered before Entry assessments can be arranged. Please note they will contact your child’s current school to request a Confidential Report. Court orders or Educational Psychologist reports must be disclosed at Registration. The UKVI has advised that pupils without a passport should submit a copy of the parents’ passports which should be held on their file. This should be provided at the Registration stage.
2. Entry Assessments: Candidates are able to take their Entrance Examinations from the September of the year prior to entry.
3. Accepting a place: To complete your child’s enrolment, you will need to return:
• Parent Contract Acceptance Form
• Acceptance Deposit
• New Starter forms
Please note: The Acceptance Deposit will be held in the School bank account and will be refunded after your child’s final term at Dean Close, less any extra costs for that final term. The deposit is non-refundable, in the event that your child does not take up a place previously accepted. Please contact the Admissions Team on the form below to start the entry process for your child.
The School offers scholarships and exhibitions for 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry (IV and LVI) for excellence in academic studies, music, sport, art, drama, design technology (13+ only) and all-round ability (13+ only). There is also a 7+ Scholarship available based on pupils’ ability, potential, attitude and work ethos. The number of awards given in each category depends upon the calibre of the applicants.
