Life in Year 7
Lessons in Year 7 are engaging and fun; you learn in interesting ways, for example, lessons often include practical work, like bringing out Bunsen burners or microscopes, which always excites the class, and fully focuses us on the lesson. It’s quite overwhelming how much I’m learning at Challoner’s. I’ve also learnt not to be afraid to speak up as sixth formers and teachers will always help you if you need them to.

Life in the Sixth Form
When walking into the Social Kitchen on a Monday morning, I am greeted by the enticing smell of coffee and the sight of students sitting together, working on their latest project or discussing an essay. Here is a great place to grab some warm food or a snack at break, and serves as a casual working environment during the day.

Things to note

Sport at Challoner's
Sport plays a major part in the life of the School. All students have two hours of Physical Education curriculum time each week, and we run an extensive extra-curricular programme which provides the opportunity for all students to take part in some form of physical activity in addition to their two hours of curriculum time

Co-curricular Music Activities
The School runs a huge variety of co-curricular music activities to suit all abilities and musical tastes.

The Senior Play
The Senior and Summer plays are a celebration of talent from across the school. We usually produce these two drama productions each year and students are fully involved in all aspects of the production from acting, to sound, lights and props.
