Edgeborough School is Independent Secondary school in Non-selective for kids aged 2 to 13 (Gender - 2 to 13 )

Nursery & Pre-School
Nursery and Pre-School children experience a caring and stimulating environment whilst being an integral part of the school, sharing specialist French and P.E. teachers and the beautiful school grounds, although situated in their own exclusive house and gardens.The Nursery & Pre-School provides a secure and stimulating environment for children to begin their school life. They place an emphasis on a happy, family atmosphere and promote all-round development and an outstanding, balanced education. Children are encouraged to develop good relationships, self-confidence, independence, and become inquisitive learners through play-centred activities. Friendships start in the Early Years and we give great importance to nurturing respectful, trusting relationships to provide an early sense of community, security and belonging.
Pre-Prep
In the Edgeborough Pre-Prep, children thrive as they experience an exciting and stimulating education in a supportive and nurturing environment.are built. Whilst they are very much a part of the whole school, they enjoy the own purpose-built classroom area where the children can explore, question and challenge themselves in the safety of their familiar surroundings. The pupils enjoy a wide range of subjects allowing them to embark on an exciting learning journey right from their very first day in Reception. They place a strong emphasis on the development of literacy and numeracy. The Read Write Inc. scheme is continually achieving high standards and our practical approach to Mathematics sets secure foundations at an early age.
Prep
Amongst leading Prep Schools in Surrey, they believe that happy children are successful children. The talents and interests of each child are identified, nurtured and developed as they progress through the Prep School and there are regular opportunities to celebrate both effort and success.Our Prep School in Surrey – for children in years 3 to 8, builds upon the foundations laid in the Pre Prep. Preparation for Common Entrance begins in Year 3 when a wider range of subjects is introduced. Children gradually move from class teaching to subject specialist teaching and ensure sound preparation for a number of the country’s leading senior schools. Latin is introduced from Year 6 onwards and appropriate provision is available for pupils with additional needs. The extensive range of extra-curricular activities on offer ensures that every child is able to pursue their interests and develop their talents, both in and out of the classroom. The Arts are a vital part of school life at Edgeborough and the pupils have the opportunity to express themselves creatively though a huge variety of art and design classesThis creative subject serves to build resilience in pupils as they learn from their mistakes and solve problems as they work through a project both individually and as a team.
Sports
Every boy and girl at Edgeborough enjoys a rich and varied sporting programme. Our sport ethos ensures all pupils play as part of a team, whilst providing opportunities to perform at the highest level of competition.At Edgeborough we deliver a games programme of core team sports including rugby, football hockey and cricket for the boys and hockey, netball, lacrosse, cricket and rounders for the girls. Pupils will also represent the school for swimming, athletics, tennis, judo, cross country and climbing. With a wealth of activities on offer, the children’s enjoyment is well catered for in sport.
