FUEL has been working with young people who have been permanently excluded or on the verge of permanent exclusion from mainstream school environments in KS3/4 since 2009.

Facilities

They offer a broad and balanced curriculum. They recognise there are a variety of different learners, with different needs and progression aims. The framework enables to create personalised programmes, which meet the needs of the individual pupil.

  • FUEL’s mission is to meet the unique educational, social, and emotional needs of diverse student group in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • They aim to both encourage and empower students to develop skills necessary to pursue post 16 opportunities and give a lifelong love of learning.
  • At FUEL they focus on developing the “whole student,” by teaching and reinforcing academic, personal and the social skills needed to achieve success and move onto productive citizenship.
  • They cater for those young people who struggle in mainstream environments whether they have been permanently excluded or at risk of exclusion, those without a school place and those who are disengaged or at risk of becoming NEET. 
  • They provide bespoke packages to young people in key stages 3 and 4 with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Admission Details

FUEL only provide places for students who are unable to access mainstream education. They only accept referrals through schools and education authorities, FUEL cannot be a parents choice for secondary education, their purpose is to provide education for those whom have been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school. They offer a full and balanced curriculum that is tailored to ensure pupils have the best possible outcomes and opportunities for future success. 

FUEL do have a maximum group size for each area, if there are no places available on your chosen course, we can add you to the waiting list.

Fees

Annual fees (day pupils): £125–£135 per day (group places) £246 per day (one-to-one target group places)
