Extra-Curricular Activities: They offer a wide range of club activities for the children. These take place during lunchtimes, before and after school. Details of these are made known to the children and parents. Teachers and parents volunteer their time for these activities and children who join are expected to show commitment. They also use some outside providers for activities such as basketball. Parents are asked to make payment for these sessions. They are very proud of being a musical school; they offer the children a broad range of specialist instrumental teaching. At present this includes: strings, guitar, brass, woodwind and drums. Again parents are asked to fund the employment of specialist teachers from the peripatetic music service if they would like their children to benefit from this teaching. At Hartwell Primary School we want our environment to be a stimulating place to learn so we aim to provide a healthy and safe environment for the children, promoting self-confidence, wellbeing and safety.
Sport: They are very keen on sporting activities with high quality PE lessons and a range of sporting extra-curricular activities, including a weekly family friendly running club. They also engage in sporting events with other local schools with the support of Elizabeth Woodville School, North. This provides children fantastic opportunity to represent the school at sport in both competitive and non-competitive events.
Annual fees (day pupils): £67375 to £87621
