Heath House Preparatory School is Independent Primary school in Lewisham for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Established in 1993, Heath House is a co-educational independent preparatory school for children aged between three and eleven. Heath House is a small, private and friendly school where children are happy to learn in a stimulating environment. The school has a strong child-centred approach with an environment designed to encourage every child, of all ages and abilities, to achieve their maximum potential. Set in the heart of Blackheath Village, SE3, the school has three annexes to its main building in Wemyss Road - Tranquil Hall, the original village school building (1851), The Old Library in Blackheath Grove and further afield, 'Aux Mottaux' in Villars, Switzerland.

Curriculum
The curriculum is delivered by an excellent team of teachers who are professional and committed to the children they teach. Please see pdf list at the bottom of the page.Heath House Prep School works to the 11+ entry to Secondary Schools. It has an excellent academic record to leading independent and grammar secondary schools. Heath House takes note of the spirit and content of the National Curriculum, combines these within its own work programme and derives inspiration and breadth from the resources of London. The subjects the children study at Heath House are many and diverse.

Things to note

After School Homework Club
Heath House operates an after school homework club on Mondays to Thursdays until 6pm and Fridays until 5pm. There is a small charge of £8 per hour and includes a light snack and drink. All children are constantly supervised and are mainly encouraged to complete homework.

Extra Curricular Clubs
Heath House also operates the following extra curricular clubs after school: Exam Preparation, Football, Rugby, Hockey, Gym, Dance, Art, Choir, Chess, Construction, Computing, Photography and Science. They may vary from term to term with the addition and introduction of new clubs. There is a small charge for all clubs.

Admission Details

Admission to Heath House Prep School is by an informal parental visit/interview, and for children above the age of seven years an informal test of English, Maths and Non Verbal Reasoning.
