Inspired Directions School delivers a high-quality curriculum enhanced by work-related learning and work experience. Developing pupils’ employability and enterprise skills, they offer a clear, supported pathway into relevant further education or training at 16.

Facilities

  • Inspire! support children and young people with a range of additional needs. These tailored, intensive programmes help young people aged 11 – 25 to fulfil their potential. 
  • This can include behaviour or mental health difficulties, special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), English as an additional language (EAL), looked-after children or care leavers. They also work with those who are, or are at risk of becoming, NEET (not in education, employment or training).

Things to note

  • Primary programmes reach children aged 3 – 11 in London schools. By bringing careers education to primary schools, Inspire! connect classroom learning to the world
  • Secondary programmes include work experience placements, workplace visits, and work-related learning workshops. These are all facilitated by employers and employee volunteers.
  • Mentoring projects provide one-to-one support to young people to develop their confidence and motivation.

Selection Criteria: Selective

Admission Details

Students are admitted to Inspired Directions School based on their needs and ‘fit’ with school and student cohort. The referral process involves:

  • Completion of a referral form by the local authority, mainstream school or pupil referral unit
  • They will then invite the pupil with their parent/ carer to an admissions interview and school tour
  • Following a successful interview, we have an induction period for pupils which begins with a one-week offsite timetable in order for the pupil to get to know the staff
  • Following successful completion of this week, students are invited in to attend school onsite

Fees

Annual fees (day pupils): £16,500 to £23,000
