They will offer the children at IQRA a balanced curriculum with a wide range of subjects and learning which is personalised to their individual needs. They will provide a curriculum which meets the needs of the academic, personal and social development of each child. They will enable children to make decisions about their learning and have a clear understanding of next steps. The curriculum will ensure that the children become independent, enthusiastic and confident learners.
Online Learning
All of the children have been provided with chromebooks. Children have logins to various online platforms such as Google Class where teachers can communicate with pupils, send messages, set homework, and post learning material. Children are required to read books on Bugclub. Bugclub is a library of online books where children are allocated books by the class teacher to read according to their reading level. The more books a child reads, the more they will improve in their level of reading! Other learning platforms include Purple Mash through which children learn are set work on computing and IXL which helps children with Maths and English.
Sports Premium
The sports premium has been used in the past to support the promotion of sports at Iqra and the development of a high quality sports provision, backed up by extra-curricular provision in the form of a range of after school activities including; football, netball and martial arts clubs. The intention is that this provision will support our pupils in developing their own confidence and participation in sports activities now and in the years to come. The own teachers assist the coaches in their delivery of lessons, promoting their own good practice and further contributing to the sustainability of the initiatives.
