They at Madni Academy demand academic excellence. The school assures a warm and welcoming learning environment where every student feels truly part of the inclusive family. They strive because they believe the students deserve to receive the best education, giving them the skills to flourish beyond the classroom and develop into strong Muslims that will benefit the Ummah and wider societyAt the same time, however, they also strive to help each and every individual child to develop their own character and achieve their personal potential and ambitions through a deep appreciation of their deen (Islam). Supported by the own Tarbiyah programme we promote Islamic morals and manners for all the students on their journey to becoming valued members of society.
Early Years
The Early Years consists of one class of 2 year olds, 1 nursery class and 1 reception class all housed in 3 classrooms on the ground floor of the main school building. The spacious classrooms provide ample space for our little ones to explore and enjoy learning . At Madni Academy Early Years all our activities are planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. To support our Islamic Ethos we have a daily Thaleem where children are reminded to be good Muslims through the Stories of the Prophets, they are taught duas and encouraged to be considerate of those around them.Emphasis is placed on social interaction and emotional growth. Children learn to follow directions and take turns. They are given lots of opportunities to make decisions and encouraged to make good choices. Our two year olds are introduced to "potty training" based upon individual development. Our staff work closely with parents to coordinate this important milestone in the best interest of the child.
Primary School
Madni Primary school operates from a purpose built building on Scarborough Street in Dewsbury. They have mixed classes at KS1 and KS2. Each class teacher has a dedicated team of support staff to support the varying abilities in class. Teaching is differentiated for the different year groups in the school, we follow the new National Curriculum at both KS1 and KS2. The delivery of our curriculum is supported by wordsmith, Abacus, Outstanding Science, computering and plan bee. As an Islamic school the Islamic ethos infuses teaching across the curriculum, with children taking part in daily thaleem and remembrance of Allah. Through Islamic studies and Arabic our children learn the beauty of Islam and the Quraan.Primary 2 is a combined class of Year 3 and Year 4 children. Teaching is catered to meet the needs of the individual year groups, Numeracy and Literacy is taught as year specific, other subjects are taught on a 2 year cycle with differentiated learning outcomes for the individual year groups

Student Shura meetings are held once every half term.
