Pre-School
These early years are a time of wonder and discovery. We ensure that every day is packed full of enjoyable and enriching activities, enabling the girls to make the most of their learning experience. Our experienced staff ensure that the pastoral care of your daughter is at the heart of everything we do. This approach allows us to foster a nurturing environment where the girls feel happy, safe, and secure enough to take risks and challenge themselves.As the girls move up through the Pre-School, learning remains individualised but gradually formalises to help ensure the children are fully prepared for Reception. Each year the amount of specialist teacher led lessons and extra-curricular opportunities also increase as the children build both their stamina and confidence. Each year-group have class rules and are taught social skills such as staying safe, being kind to each other and sharing. At Maltman’s Green there are no limits to learning. We don’t believe in holding children back, but we equally ensure they are not pushed too far outside of their comfort zone.
Pre-Prep
The Pre-Prep comprises girls in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Our Early Years also sit under the Pre-Prep umbrella. A dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants work to ensure our girls are happy, motivated and confident, ready for their transition into Prep School. We strive to create a supportive, nurturing environment where children can flourish, enabling them to achieve their individual potential.
Prep
The Prep School starts in Year 3 at age 7 to 8, and ends in Year 6 at age 11. At this stage the girls become highly independent, developing the confidence, skills and knowledge that thoroughly prepares them for senior school and beyond.As a thriving independent girls’ school, we embrace the key principles of the National Curriculum, but also have the freedom to structure and teach our own inspiring and creative curriculum, tailored to suit individual needs. The best interests of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do, striving for a mastery approach to learning that allows each girl to develop at her own pace and providing challenge and support where appropriate. Extra-Curricular
The extensive extra-curricular programme is an outstanding feature of the School. They offer a varied selection of clubs to ignite and inspire our girls’ life-long passions outside of the classroom.
