Curriculum
At St. Joseph's they believe the curriculum is a powerful tool to promote a love of learning, a willingness to explore and a time to have fun. They are proud that the curriculum goes beyond the National Curriculum, which they use as a starting point for wide and varied learning experiences for our children.  They enrich it by the strong Catholic ethos, based on the Mission Statement of Loving, Learning and Growing together with Jesus. They aim high, striving for every child to achieve more than they thought possible.  They believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all, where children feel safe to try new things.

The guiding principle is one of Inclusion and that of a person-centred approach. We aim to provide quality first teaching for all of our pupils so that no child is left behind. This includes appropriate differentiation for individual pupils, the use of high-quality resources and effective use of additional adult support. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that will enable children to achieve their full potential and to bridge the gap with their peers. They work in liaison with other professionals to ensure children have access to specialist support, physical resources and expertise. most importantly they seek to work with parents and families to ensure full equal access to every aspect of learning.

School Clubs
Clubs are an important way for children to learn new skills, do what they enjoy, socialise with their peers, keep active and have lots of fun. Please encourage your child/children to join a school club and learn something new.
