Outwood Alternative Provision Eston is an innovative alternative provision centre, principally for students from Outwood Academies in the Northern Region who need additional behavioural, social, emotional or mental health support. In line with absolute commitment to inclusion in its widest sense, this is an alternative provision for vulnerable students who display challenging behaviours and are often at risk of high levels of fixed-period exclusions or permanent exclusion.

Operating much smaller classes than our mainstream academies, this alternative provision focuses on personal development and the health and well being of students, whilst not losing academic rigour. They will focus on ensuring that all students can achieve well and are able to move to their next stage with confidence, be it education, employment or training.

Admission Details

Referrals to Outwood Alternative Provision Eston will be considered where students meet the following criteria:

On roll at an Outwood mainstream academy.
Require respite to support their place in mainstream provision.
At risk of permanent Exclusion.

Requests for admission to Outwood Alternative Provision Eston from Local Authorities, non-Outwood Schools and out of authority organisations should be made directly to the Head of Centre.
