Senior School
Pitsford School is one of Northamptonshire’s leading independent coeducational day schools. Entry for 11 year olds is selective and our curriculum is designed to engage interest and stretch our students. The pupils sit nine or ten GCSEs. The curriculum draws on the best grammar school traditions of the past, made relevant to today’s needs and applicable to the demands of the future.We offer a broad range of academic subjects through to GCSE and they achieve some of the best results in the country. They prioritise the development of personal qualities: integrity, resilience and commitment. Healthy competition in work and sport is encouraged and emphasis is placed on developing the highest moral qualities. Successful education is a partnership where teachers and parents work together for the benefit of the pupils. The well qualified and enthusiastic specialist teachers create a stimulating environment, care for each individual and work with pupils to ensure they excel.
Sixth Form
The Sixth Form is exciting, diverse and full of leadership opportunities. The small size of the Sixth Form enables all students to take an active role in Sixth Form life, developing skills for the 21st Century. Every student has a bespoke timetable to ensure they are studying subjects they are passionate about. They offer a range of A-Levels, BTECs and the EPQ. Role models to our whole community, Sixth Formers are empowered at Pitsford School to actively lead the school. Senior Prefects run the duty systems and the three weekly assemblies, House Captains direct and manage their peers and the Heads of School input meaningfully to the running of the school. All Sixth Formers at Pitsford are prefects and all take a lead.

Things to note
Juniors Choir
The Junior School Choir and Chamber Choir are both extremely popular. The Chamber Choir has enjoyed success at the Kettering Eisteddfod. A wide variety of individual instrumental lessons are taught by visiting peripatetic music teachers, including violin, guitar, singing, kit percussion, cello, brass, woodwind and piano.A weekly recorder club offers children the opportunity to learn to play the instrument and to be able to perform in assemblies or informal concerts.
Juniors Sport
Sport is taught every day, with swimming lessons every week all year round. Ballet is taught to children in Kits and Squirrels. Each class teacher arranges at least one out of school visit per term to enhance their pupils’ curricular studies.
Juniors Visits
An annual activity camp is organised for the whole of the School comprising: Two days of outdoor activities (including Forest School) for the EYFS and KS1, Three days of physical activities for Year 3, A three day residential activity camp for J4 at the Rock UK Centre in Irthlingborough, A three day residential activity camp for J5 at the Hollowford Centre in Derbyshire, A four day residential activity camp for J6 at the Black Mountain Centre in Wales
