Riverside Primary School is a State Primary school for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed). Everyone at Riverside, staff and Governors, strives to provide the highest standard of educational opportunities for the children. The vision for Riverside is for EVERY CHILD TO BE A HAPPY LEARNER. They aim to provide the highest quality of teaching and extra-curricular activities. The school values are: Strive for excellence, Make the right choices and Build relationships. The vision and values underpin all aspects of school life.The first-rate team of teachers and support staff act as role models, educating and nurturing each child to bring out their individual strengths and achievements and to enable them to become capable, caring and confident citizens of the future. To achieve the aims, they work closely with parents so that they understand the needs of your children and to address any concerns or anxieties that you may have.

Curriculum: At Riverside, the vision is for EVERY CHILD TO BE A HAPPY LEARNER. The curriculum is underpinned by our three values: strive for excellence, make the right choices and build relationships.  Children at Riverside are exposed to a broad and balanced curriculum that incorporates a range of opportunities for experiential learning and is delivered in a positive and nurturing environment.  A focus on vocabulary acquisition and communication underpins all aspects of teaching and learning. The curriculum is well sequenced ensuring that children acquire and remember essential knowledge and develop the skills to put their knowledge into practice. They are fortunate to have first class facilities to support with curriculum delivery including: a Music Room, a Computing Room, a Nurture Room, a Speech and Language Resource Base and extra classroom spaces that are used for teaching.

SEND: At Riverside, they are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best progress for all of our pupils whatever their needs or abilities. They recognise that many children will have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and believe that children can be helped to overcome their difficulties with the right support.
