As an all-through school, providing education from 4-19 on the same site, Samuel Ryder Academy is uniquely placed to ensure the best possible progression for its students as they move through the Key Stages, and to use the best educational practice from primary and secondary phases in order to address their needs at all levels.

Samuel Ryder Sports Academy
Combining Academia with Sport. At Samuel Ryder Academy, we are proud to offer a unique opportunity that allows students to combine Sixth Form entry together with competitive sports programme that offers dedicated sports training.

Student Resources and Digital Learning
The school is very well equipped. The first and most important resource for students is the staff itself. Teachers are highly trained, knowledgeable professionals who care deeply about the needs of students and make it their priority to get the best out of every child in the school. They are supported by a range of other staff, including teaching assistants, administrative staff and librarians, all of whom provide a valuable resource for our students.

The Music faculty offers a range of bands, choirs and groups
The Media and Arts faculty provides Art club and Master classes, Media production Workshops, Film club, production opportunities in plays or musicals.
The Science faculty has a Science club, Robotics club, Young Engineers Scheme and astronomy club.
Other clubs include Senior and Junior Reading Groups, Latin club and Design and Technology sessions.
House competitions which include quizzes, drama competitions, public speaking, football and other sporting opportunities
The PE faculty offers a full range of sporting clubs in all the major games.
Sport
Regular physical activity can help students improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions in later life. At Samuel Ryder Academy, the school ethos has health and active lifestyles at its very heart. Promoting a healthy lifestyle is integral to us providing an education for life for all our students.
