Tabernacle School is Independent Secondary school in Non-selective for kids aged 3 to 18 (Gender - 3 to 18 )
The holistic provision is underpinned by a principle I am passionate about - no significant learning can take place without significant relationships; it is this relationship which inspires and motivates maximum learning and promotes respect for each other in the school community and beyond. Our unique approach and emphasis on pastoral care has allowed students from diverse cultures and backgrounds to join our school community, something I am very proud of.
PRE SCHOOLS
It is from birth to five years that much of a child's development and intelligence occurs, the rational and emotional levels, which determine their ability to learn. Based on this important aspect, Tabernacle School offers different and playful methods to stimulate a child's growth. This is a vital stage in their development, so we integrate cognitive and social activities to guide them in decision making and developing their social skills.
LOWER SCHOOL
This is a time in a child's life when they absorb a wealth of new information. Our philosophy of work is mainly focused on the improvement of students' capacity for reflection, an education which promotes research, discussion and questioning of all that permeates the real world. With great sensitivity and attention, we encourage the skills of our students and motivate them to develop their self-esteem and overcome their challenges.
UPPER SCHOOL
This stage of learning favours the use of acquired knowledge in new contexts. Tabernacle School invests comprehensively in helping our students to acquire and begin to embrace values such as ethics, citizenship, cultural diversity, care for the environment, cultural relations, and valued qualities required by today's world.
Art Club (TES)
The TES Art Club is open to 4th grade students. Student artists have the opportunity to explore various types of art media and techniques beyond the regular art curriculum. Emphasis is placed on artistic process, imagination, and individual expression.
Band (OMS)
Students in grades 5-8 are invited to participate in the OMS instrumental program. Instruction is offered on traditional band instruments such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, and electric bass. Participants attend a weekly like-instrument lesson at which fundamentals and skill development are fostered. In addition, performance music is introduced and rehearsed at lessons.
