The Becklands is an independent Dfe registered school providing a high-quality education provision for students who may have complex needs including social, emotional and mental health difficulties, aged 11 – 18 years.
The Becklands provides a relevant and enhanced curriculum that is based on the requirements of each individual student according to their EHCP in accordance with the National Curriculum.
To enable positivity, creativity and uniqueness in small person-centered classes which encourage and promote a positive working environment with high quality staffing levels.
The Becklands follow the National Curriculum bridging the gap from Key Stage 2 into Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 and are entered for GCSE examinations where this is appropriate. In addition to this THEY offer functional skills, employability skills, work experience and community projects to support all the young people into adult life and progression into further education.
