The Good Ship Trinity has now left harbour, flags and pennants flying, heading for the open sea. Welcome back on board to all members of the school community. They hope you and yours had a very pleasant vacation and a most restful holiday. Life is certainly becoming turbulent with the many crises both domestic and foreign. However, it’s at times like this that they recall the vision, the vocation, the commitment to Christ which is summed up in the words of the new Acclamation.

Curriculum Overview at KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9)
The curriculum is designed to offer a rigorous academic learning journey where all students are afforded every opportunity to develop and deepen their knowledge, understanding and skills through a broad, rich and equitable curriculum that nurtures all facets of the human experience – intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, cultural and physical – leading students to appreciate the value and power of education. They recognise the profound effect of education on transforming lives and the moral imperative to challenge and mitigate inequalities, through high expectations and aspirations for all, supporting students to discover, build talents and strengths in their many varied forms and so nurture growth in personal identity and purpose. Such a curriculum supports students to achieve highly, make exceptional progress academically and personally, equipping them well for the opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.
Curriculum Overview at KS4 (Years 10 and 11)
The overarching intent is to develop exceptional, well qualified, well rounded young people, with the wisdom and compassion that broadens perspective beyond the self, the aspiration to develop talents to the full and the integrity, knowledge and skills to use gifts for the greater good of society. The intent is set firmly within the context of a Catholic vision for education. Central to our curriculum is to create, deepen and enhance the individual response to the person of Jesus, the Risen Christ who is present through the Eucharist. The School aims to build and sustain a culture where faith and Catholic character can grow and thrive.

Things to note
Drama
Drama challenges our perceptions about the world they live in and ourselves. The aim is that all learners are stimulated into new insights and understandings through the safe and creative context of building the world of a play as: performers, directors and designers of theatre. Through studying Drama, students should be equipped with the cultural capital and confidence to succeed in a competitive world, as engaged and informed theatre spectators. An integral aim is to provide knowledge as a foundation for building practical skills in making, performing and appreciating the value that theatre holds in society.
Music
The Music department has excellent teaching facilities consisting of two large classrooms which are both well equipped with a selection of keyboards, tuned and untuned percussion, a drum kit, acoustic, electric and bass guitars. Alongside the classrooms we have a computer suite running Mixcraft and Sibelius software, an A-level teaching room and two practice rooms where instrumental lessons take place. They have eight visiting instrumental teachers, mainly supplied by Redbridge Music Service, who provide individual instrumental and singing lessons to approximately 80 students.

At Trinity, they aspire for all students to reach their full potential. We will use our best endeavour to ensure that provision is made for all students who have SEND and they constantly strive to improve the accessibility of our school and curriculum for all learners. We will make reasonable adjustments to ensure that students with SEND are not disadvantaged. All students are valued equally, and it is the aim to help all students reach their full potential in order to prepare them for their future pathway.
