Argaty Red Kites is a family-run, working upland farm that offers a unique way to connect with nature. Visitors can enjoy daily red kite feeding sessions and explore the countryside through exclusive Beaver Evening Tours. There are photography hides for nature lovers, a woodland hide for red squirrels and birds, and fun pond dipping sessions for kids. The setting is peaceful with picnic areas and gentle trails leading to the hides.

Entry to the Red Kite Hide costs £10 for adults, £4 for children (6–16), with family tickets available at £24. Special tours like the Beaver Evening cost £55 per person.

Hides: Whether you’re a seasoned photographer, budding amateur or simply fancy wildlife spotting for the day, we have a hide to suit you. Join us for a half-day hide visit or plan a day trip with us to get the most out of your visit.
Woodland Hide: Set in secluded woodland, this specialist 1-6-person hide gives close-up and intimate views of red squirrels and a spectacular array of woodland birds (including greater spotted woodpecker, nuthatch, long tailed tits and more.)
Beaver Evening Tours: Join us for an exclusive evening tour like no other as we visit one of Argaty’s beaver families. Learn the history and ecology of these incredible ecosystem engineers as we watch them feed, swim and reshape the landscape at a beautiful upland pond.
Pond Dipping: Delve into the underwater world of the pond with our summer pond dipping sessions. Learn about the amazing creatures that dwell in the deep and try your hand at catching them. Fun for children and adults alike!
Red Kites Daily Feeding: Join us for a rewilding experience like no other with our daily red kite feeding tours. Learn the kites’ incredible history – from persecution to extinction to reintroduction and beyond – from our amazing team of rangers as we watch these majestic birds swooping for their food.
Red Kite Photography Hide: A purpose-built hide for up to 3 photographers, the Red Kite Photography Hide brings you closer to the action (distance to the feeding area 35m) for an unforgetable encounter with nature!

Facilities

Food & Drinks: Visitors are asked to bring their own food and drink or to visit Doune which is only 5 minutes away.
Parking: From the Car Park, there is a walk of about 350m on a gently sloping, winding path up to the hide.
Picnic areas: If you wish to bring a picnic, there are tables inside the visitor centre or picnic tables outside.
