Fly Fishing: Carsington Water offers boat fly fishing at its best! Carsington Water is a stunning trout fishery situated in the heart of the stunning Derbyshire countryside. It's natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, crystal clear waters and stunning fish combine to make Carsington Water addictive to anglers. It's gin clear waters stock fish up to 8lb+, it is stocked regularly with top quality brown and rainbow trout from our local suppliers. We offer some of the best boat fishing in Derbyshire. Fishing from a boat is the best way to explore the water and hunt out those fantastic trout. There are 20 well maintained boats available for hire all supplied with engines, oars and an anchor.
Bikes: Enjoy the areas picturesque trails on our top brand mountain bikes. You can enjoy the short, family friendly, 3 mile route or the full 8 mile reservoir circuit now all off road. Alternatively you can increase your route a little further and take in Hopton and Carsington Village. Our tracks are regularly maintained and improved by Severn Trent Water and link to the Tissington and High Peak trails giving you even more opportunities to take in the fabulous scenery within the Derbyshire Dales.
Watersports: Enjoy the area's most picturesque reservoir from the water. You can get out and enjoy the water whether you're windsurfing or sailing on the main reservoir or exploring our paddlesports bay. We have a range of activities form beginners to advanced, as well as general hire or personal launch options. You can make it a day out full of fun and adventure with your family and friends.
