Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm, set in the beautiful West Lancashire countryside near the Merseyside border, is a fun-filled family destination and the UK’s only Shaun the Sheep attraction. Meet Shaun and Bitzer, explore themed activities, and enjoy outdoor performances designed for children and families to play, explore, and create. Visitors can meet friendly farm animals including Shetland ponies Bracken, Ruby, and Jessie, Lizzy the llama, guinea pigs. Discover exotic creatures at the Mini-Beasts Centre, such as bearded dragons, Ted the tortoise, tree frogs, and ants.

Families can get lost in the ever-changing Adventure Maze or enjoy all-weather fun in the huge Indoor Play Area. Outdoors, there’s plenty of space to explore, with climbing frames, swings, pedal tractors, a massive sandpit, and exciting Quad Barrel Rides (£1 per seat). Young visitors can even try being a farmer with coin-operated tractors (£1 per go). Educational experiences await in the ED Shed, featuring videos, activities, and displays about farm life.

  • Shaun the Sheep Adventure: Farmer Ted’s and Aardman, the multi-award-winning creators of Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit, have joined forces to create the Shaun the Sheep Adventure. This collaboration has brought Shaun and his friends to the North West, where they can’t wait to meet everyon. The grounds were landscaped, Shaun the Sheep-themed activities were created, and an outdoor performance space was built.   • Mini-Beasts Centre: In the Mini-Beasts Centre, there is a whole host of exciting and exotic animals not usually found down on the farm. The team looks after an array of insects, reptiles, amphibians and fish.
    • Bearded Dragons: Say hello to the bearded dragons! They may not breathe fire, but they are definitely worth coming to see.
    • Ted the Tortoise: Meet the friendly 4-year-old Horse Field Tortoise. He loves his shell being stroked and can’t wait to meet everyone.
    • Tree Frogs & Ants: Watch the tree frogs hop from log to log and see how organised an ant colony can be.
  • Adventure Maze: Don’t forget to come and explore the huge wooden maze. There are 8 different routes, and to keep everyone guessing, the route is changed every 2–3 months thanks to 12 hidden doors which can be opened or shut.
  • Indoor Play Area: At Farmer Ted’s, there’s as much to do inside as there is outside. Come rain or shine, the indoor play area will keep families entertained for hours.
    • Adventure Play Halls: Huge adventure play halls feature 8 different slides, rope bridges and climbing frames suitable for both toddlers and young children’s climbing adventures. Two soft play centres for different ages can be found in the restaurant, Farmer Ted’s Grill.
    • Be a Farmer: Little ones can pretend to be farmers with electric coin-operated tractors (£1.00 per go) and indoor plastic pedal tractors, and that is just the start.
