Haltwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre is located in the heart of Hadrian Wall Country, right in the centre of Britain. Swimming Pools

We have 3 outdoor pools which open in mid April and close in early September. These include a 25 metre pool, learner pool and paddling pool with fun toys for toddlers and babies.
There is also a giant flume which operates at regular intervals during the day during public sessions. Swimming Lessons run for both adults and juniors during the season.

Sports Hall

Haltwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre offers many dry activities alongside our water based offerings. Our sports hall is well equipped, offering a full size basketball court size sportshall available for hire.
It can accomodate full size trampolines, 4 badminton courts, a full size tennis court, volleyball court, 5 a-side football, netball and short tennis. We also have gymnastics, indoor cricket nets and carpet bowls equipment.

Gym

The douglas smith fitness suite. It boasts a large range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment and has a free weight station.
The suite is fully air conditioned and incorporates a consultation room. Qualified instructors are regularly on hand to advise and to motivate, helping you to gain the most out of your exercise programme.

Astroturf

Our astroturf offers a full size tennis court and can accomodate 5 a-side football.
It is available for private hire as it has potential use for multiple activities like volleyball, fitness activities or tag and touch rugby for example.

Studio

Our studio is a great space for fitness activities like spinning, boxercise, yoga & circuits and is ideal for combat sports like Karate and Judo. We offer a range of classes that suit all sporting & fitness preferences.
Some classes are run by an instructor, but if that is not your thing there are many other activites that you can book for yourself or for a small group like badminton or carpet bowls.
