The National Sports Centre (NSC) in Douglas is the Isle of Man’s premier venue for sport, fitness, and leisure. Run by Manx Sport and Recreation, it offers top-class facilities including pools, squash courts, an athletics stadium, and indoor bowls. It’s also the main host for many of the Island’s sporting events and activities.

Families and individuals can enjoy the leisure pool with flumes, a beach pool, and the Coral Cove splash zone for younger children, or train in the 25m competition pool. Indoors, there are six refurbished squash courts, a modern gym, and a relaxing spa with saunas, steam room, and jacuzzi. Outdoors, the athletics stadium features a floodlit track, jump pits, and a grandstand for spectators.

Prices are affordable, with general admission from £2.75 for children (4–7 years), £5.55 for adults, and memberships starting from £34.45 for 1 month.

Indoor Facilities

  • The National Sports Centre accommodates two large sports halls suitable for various sporting needs.There are six recently refurbished glass back squash courts and the Islands only indoor bowls hall. The Fitness Zone consists of a gym and spa.
  • The gym boasts a selection of cardiovascular machines, weighted machines and a free weight area, providing you with equipment to suit all of your health and fitness goals. The spa, adjacent to the gym, holds two sauna cabins and a steam room as well as a whirlpool jacuzzi.
  • There are two swimming pools at the NSC  - the training pool and the leisure pool. Our training pool is an 8 lane, 25m pool with a floating beam down the middle.

Leisure pool

  • This competition 25 metre pool has been designed with total flexibility in mind. Fitted within the pool tank is 1 floating pool floor and a fixed depth area of 1.8m.
  • The leisure pool has a beach pool, flow pool and 2 longer, faster flumes which have been designed with contrasting coloured translucent stripes inside to create a warp tunnel effect when in use.
  • The shallow leisure pool and ‘Coral Cove’ splash zone – complete with water jets and smaller slide - is great for younger children to enjoy.

Outdoor Facilities

  • The athletics stadium has a 400m, 6 lane fully floodlit synthetic running track over viewed by a 500 seat grandstand. The track has a current UK Athletics certificate. Equipment is provided which meets all UKA and some IAAF standards. 
  • Including an 11m hammer/discus cage, javelin area, 2 double runway jump pits, 2 grass shot put areas, new international pole vault area and full steeplechase with water jump.

The National Sports Centre is conveniently located in the Island capital, Douglas. This central location makes it easily accessible by all means of transport.

  • By Car: Follow signs to Pulrose, Douglas. Alternatively, once at the Quarterbridge roundabout take the exit on New Castletown Rd. At the second set of traffic lights turn left, you will approach the National Sports Centre on your left after approximately 300m.
  • By Bus: There is a bus stop located outside the main National Sports Centre entrance.
