Redwings Mountains is a peaceful sanctuary set in 220 acres of paddocks and woodland in Angus, offering a safe home to over 50 rescued horses, ponies, and donkeys. It’s not only a haven for these animals but also a great spot for wildlife lovers, with red squirrels, deer, and mountain birds roaming freely. Visitors can meet adorable residents like donkey Minnie and her foal Mouse, walk around the paddocks, and enjoy nature spotting. There’s a visitor centre offering hot and cold drinks and snacks, as well as picnic benches for outdoor meals. A gift shop on-site helps support the care of the animals through purchases.

Entry is completely free, and parking is available, including disabled bays.

Red squirrels, deer and mountain birds are just some of the animals that live side-by-side with our rescued residents in this stunning corner of Angus.
After making plenty of new four-legged friends, come and chat to our staff in the visitor centre, where you can purchase a hot or cold drink and a snack. They also have picnic benches outside so do feel free to bring your lunch along with you too!

During open days, Redwings Mountains is open from 10.30am to 4pm, with last entry to paddock walks at 3pm.
