Armley Grange School is a brand-new school for autistic children and young people aged 5 – 19 who may have a range of additional needs. They are situated in Armley, Leeds, with the school set within a beautiful, historic building that has been completely refurbished and redesigned to the highest standard.At Armley Grange everything they do revolves around the individual needs of each child attending the school, with the aim that every learner is able to fulfil their potential. Along with a rich and varied curriculum, we focus on developing core life skills such as communication and social ability, sensory processing and emotional regulation; every pupil develops the essential capabilities they need to be as independent as possible when they leave school.

The curriculum underpins our ethos and aims to ensure that autistic children and young people are given the opportunity to achieve high standards within a supportive community. Clinical Therapy
As well as delivering the best possible education, they also have a clinical team who provide care and therapy to benefit the children and young people in the school. The team work with each student, as well as their parents or carers, to agree a support plan which will become part of their school life, enabling them to build on their strengths and increase their resilience. They aim to provide our students with a safe, caring and nurturing community with clear, consistent boundaries and high expectations. Relationships are at the heart of our approach and are based on sensitive understanding of a young person’s experiences and the areas in which they require more support.
