Character development is a core part of the curriculum at Avecinna Academy and is essentially incorporated into the taught disciplines across Key Stages 3 and 4. The guidance for instilling noble virtues in the child comes from the Qur’an and the Sunnah with additional recommendations/support from the University of Birmingham’s specialist (research and development) department – the Jubilee Centre of Character and Virtues.
