Broadhurst School is a co-educational nursery and pre-preparatory school for children from two to five years plus, situated in a residential area of North West London between Hampstead, West Hampstead and Swiss Cottage.The aim is to provide a happy, caring and secure environment in which every child can develop individually and is motivated and encouraged to reach their full potential.They aim to achieve the highest standard of teaching and learning for all children. They believe that the first experience of school should be both stimulating and inspiring, and we aim to help every child develop as a confident, sociable and motivated learner.

Half Day and Extended Day Classes
Children’s first classes are carefully structured so that their transition from home to school and their subsequent introduction to school activities are positive, rewarding and happy experiences. Parents are encouraged to stay in the classroom for the first few days until their children have settled.The timetable incorporates phonics and maths, topic, art and craft activities, singing, role play, construction and free play, garden play and stories, all of which are continued throughout the school.
Full Day classes
Teachers structure the day to enable children to be composed enough to concentrate, yet free enough to experiment and make mistakes without feeling exposed or self-conscious. Children learn how to engage with other adults and children and build cooperation, through listening, making eye contact, taking turns, being honest, forgiving and being kind and helpful.A range of enjoyable activities builds their general knowledge and encourages them to develop an interest in their surroundings.
