Dallington School is Independent Primary school in Islington for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )
Dallington was founded in 1978 by Mogg Hercules MBE, a maverick and an innovator who believed that children should be listened to and included in their learning, that they should be encouraged to challenge and to be challenged in a secure and stimulating environment that promotes discovery and values a love of learning. Dallington celebrates individuality, nurtures confident, independent and inquisitive children who are allowed to naturally progress through their Dallington Journey. Children from 3 to 11 work and play cooperatively in an informal, bright and airy, open-plan environment. Mixed ages learn alongside each other, in an atmosphere of mutual respect, where everyone is on first-name terms and there is no uniform. Throughout the school, a widely creative, cross-curricular and topic-based approach to learning is enjoyed.
Curriculum
At Dallington they believe that happy, stimulated, children develop and grow better than those who are miserable at school. They help everyone grow at their own pace, building self-confidence and enjoyment as well as serious achievements. The school community reflects our commitment to a non-selective intake and values our children as active learners. We give them a rich range of diverse experiences along with constant nurturing and encouragement. We get to know each child extremely well.

Dallington School is a non-selective school. It is our aim to include and make provision for all children, regardless of their needs. There will be times when a child, or group of children, requires some additional input and this will be dependent on need. This support may be provided by our own staff or by external professionals who work with the school.
Performing Arts
The teaching of Performing Arts is a vital ingredient for pupils to grow up with a sense of self-worth. Dallington’s ethos of self-worth, freedom of expression and fostering a love for learning forms the basis of everything we do in the Performing Arts department. It is our mission to provide a curriculum in which children can freely express themselves and experience the wonderful gifts of the Arts - a curriculum that reaches far beyond the boundaries of a timetable. Through performance art, it is our aim to enrich the musical experiences of every child and to encourage freedom of expression, individual ability, and academic and pastoral development.
