Facilities

  • ESGS has an effective behaviour policy in place. Any bad behaviour, rudeness, disrespect to staff and pupils or damage to school property will be treated very seriously. Severe breach of the behaviour policy committed by a student may leave them liable for exclusion.
  • The school does not have LEA SENCO provision; however, parents with children who have SEN can apply at their own discretion. We will endeavour to do our best to support such children.

Things to note

  • The school provides a broad and balanced course of study that is a combination of subjects supported by the National Curriculum alongside Ilm Studies. The curriculum is such so that it enriches learning experiences however at the same time is appropriately relevant to the ethos of the school. High standards are expected across both areas of study.
  • The course is designed to offer students an insight into the correct teachings of Islam and how this can be adopted in daily practices whilst living cohesively in modern British society. Students gain confidence in living as positive, Muslim British citizens. In pursuit of this objective the study of Quranic and hadith texts are explored.
  • The main mediums for teaching this area are English, Urdu and Arabic. Students are not required to have any prior knowledge of the Urdu language.

Admission Details

All those interested in enrolling their child should do so by obtaining an application form, which must be filled in and submitted to the school office. Application forms are available on request from the school office between 9am and 2.30 pm, Monday to Thursday. Or alternatively, by ringing the office number on (01274) 401205 between 9am and 2.30pm, a form will then be sent out by post. The school operates a policy where by siblings of students who are currently at the school will be given first priority, thereafter students from Crystal Gardens Primary School. Having said this all applications will be considered on merit post interview and entry examination. Please note due to the high demand of parents wishing to enrol their children at an Islamic school, all applications should be made well in advance by parents who already have children studying at the school in order to be guaranteed a place. All successful applicants will receive confirmation of admission by telephone and letter.

Fees

The current annual fee is £2300 per year with a further one-off non-refundable payment of £100 on admission for the purchase of resources and processing of the application. Fee may be paid in a lump sum at the beginning of the year or in monthly instalments of £230 on the last date of each month Sept. to June. These must be via bank transfer. The fee is subject to go up annually by £50. Please note parents will be required to pay the full term's fee even if their child leaves mid-way through the term.
