Excellence Girls Academy is the only independent school in Stoke-on-Trent that caters for girls aged 9 to 16. It was established in 2019 with the aim of giving the girls the opportunity to achieve both academic and Islamic, excellence.All the girls that enter the doors are unique and they look forward to exploring their talents, nurturing their abilities and helping them achieve to their full potential. Together, we look forward to contributing to society, both locally and globally. The Islamic values are British values and they welcome students from all faiths and none.

The ‘curriculum’ is all the planned activities that we organise in order to promote the learning and personal growth and development of all students, regardless of their backgrounds, strengths and needs. It includes not only the formally taught curriculum, and the range of extra-curricular activities that we organise in order to enrich the experience of the students; it includes also the ‘hidden curriculum’, or what students learn from the way they are treated and expected to behave. The curriculum is guided by the principles of intent, implementation and impact. They strive to deliver a knowledge-rich, high level academic and moral education in a safe and secure learning environment in which all pupils can achieve their full potential. They aim to develop in our students; the discipline to persevere; the aspiration to excel; the respect for all and the teamwork to prevail; all of which they believe are qualities essential for lasting success.

Extra Curricular and Enrichment
At Excellence Girls Academy, they firmly believe education is not just about outstanding academia but should be about exploring creativity, flourishing talent and developing personal and social skills. Through these experiences’ students will obtain qualities which strive towards excellence in all areas of life and aspire to be role models of future generations. They provide opportunities for enrichment through themed days and weeks, trips, guest speakers and visitors, school council, eco council, school responsibilities, linking with other schools, charitable work and many other activities.All students will have plenty of opportunity to attend various educational and recreational visits such as trips to careers shows at the NEC and Geography trips to Carding Mill Valley to study rivers. These educational visits enrich the curriculum and may be related to a specific subject area or be cross-curricular.
