Pre Prep
When children join Holme Grange in the Pre-Prep School they are joining a family-orientated community where good manners, care for others and kindness are valued. We strive to provide our pupils with opportunities to imagine, question and enjoy everything that Holme Grange has to offer.Teaching is as rigorous as it is fun; the two are not mutually exclusive. We believe that children can be challenged and stretched, not only through the promotion of high expectations but also by encouraging them to ask “What if?” and “Why?” The Little Grange Nursery sits near the entrance to the School campus and Reception children spend the majority of the day in “The Hive”. These are purpose built buildings which means that children can experience being part of a larger School but also benefit from a quieter and relaxed environment for much of their day. Pupils in Year 1 & 2 have the majority of their lessons in their classrooms in the Main School Building.
Prep
The Prep School is a vibrant and enriching environment and we want every pupil to be able to access what they need to thrive and flourish, or as we say ‘to be their best selves’. They strive to support the curiosity of learning and to make pupils’ first steps into education an inspiring and purposeful experience, equipping them for their future, whatever they choose to do.We are blessed with a dedicated and enthusiastic body of teachers and support staff who care very much about making our pupils’ time here an enjoyable, valuable and memorable experience. All staff support our pupils by placing importance upon treating every pupil as an individual; finding what makes them tick and using those cues to encourage and motivate them.
Eaton Grange
The Senior part of the School was opened in 2015 and is called Eaton Grange in a nod to the heritage. They’ve seen the pupil numbers in Year 11 grow from just 2 in 2015 to over 50 in 2021. At Holme Grange they have a proven history of teaching the senior students with excellent results. The commitment to personalised learning provides them with an invaluable advantage as they move onto the next stages of their educational journey. Supported, guided and challenged by dedicated and passionate staff, Eaton Grange students can personalise their academic programme through the broad range of subjects available in the run up to their GCSEs.

Things to note
Entry to Little Grange and Reception is based upon informal discussions between parents and the Headteacher. From Year 1 upwards, entry is based upon an Assessment Day during which baseline assessment tests are given in Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning. This entry process is designed to identify pupils who can benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education and to make a positive contribution towards the life of the school
