The school has a leisure centre, with a swimming pool, Turkish hamam, sauna, fitness suite as well as a dance and drama studio, astro turf, and tennis courts on site.

  • Sport is an integral part of life at Kingham Hill School. 
  • Trips take place outside of a classroom is just as important as the academic lessons taught within the school.
  • One of the major attractions of Kingham Hill School is the open access to on and off campus activities, which enhances the all-round development of our pupils. These include sailing, cooking, farm club, mountain biking, the Combined Cadet Force, and community volunteering.
  • They offer a number of clubs and activities that run everyday from 15.30 to 16.40. Some examples of what pupils can participate in are; dance, ConSERVE club (gardening), sailing, animal club, horse riding, choir, quiz club and art.
  • For boarding pupils they have a Saturday activity programme that allows them to explore the scenic and historical local area with regular trips to Oxford, Stratford and Cheltenham. Boarders also have the chance to unwind with paintballing, mountain biking and archery among the more physical activities on offer at the weekend.

Admission Details

Year 7, 9 and Sixth Form: After registration, children will be invited to attend an assessment and informal interview with the Headmaster. The assessment covers English, Maths and General Reasoning skills. No revision is required. Pupils from overseas who are not able to visit the school can be assessed remotely once the application process has been completed.  

Sixth Form: The usual minimum entry requirement for a pupil beginning a course of 3 or 4 subjects in Lower Sixth at Kingham Hill is that they have received five 4s and above at GCSE, including Maths and English. They will normally be expected to have achieved 6s or 7s in the subjects they choose to study. Some subjects can be taken with no prior study, for example in Economics, GCSE Economics is not required but good grades in Maths and in a Humanities subject would be needed.

Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of £105 is payable on registration. The international pupil registration fee is £155.
