Sibford School is Independent Secondary school in Not applicable for kids aged 3 to 18 (Gender - 3 to 18 )
Sibford is a family school which is built upon outstanding pastoral care and a values-based approach to education. Small class sizes and strong relationships built upon mutual respect are the bedrock of all that they do. The intake of pupils is broad in ability with some exceptional academic talents and others who might find their talents lie more fully in other areas. Knowing each pupil as well as we do however means that we can support and encourage them to achieve their aspirations whatever these might be. Although we are primarily a day school we do have a thriving boarding community and offer full, weekly and flexi-boarding packages. To this end they offer the best of both worlds: pupils can start their day at 7am and finish at 6.30pm should they wish to and, by not having lessons on Saturdays it frees pupils up to take part in activities outside of school – or get involved with one of the many boarder’s activity trips should they wish to.
Early Years
The skills that pupils learn with us in Sibford School Early Years set them up to be lifelong learners and we value the entire Early Years curriculum. Children can join Sibford Nursery from the September after they turn three, while reception class offers places for four-year-olds. Under the Early Education Funding Scheme, three to four-year-olds are eligible for up to 15 hours free funding per week.We believe in building up confidence, friendships and a sense of ownership over their environment. We encourage curiosity and an adventurous spirit and will use the children’s own ideas and interests to drive their learning forward.
Junior School
The Junior School occupies its own distinctive area of the school’s 50-acre campus, meaning it can operate as a self-contained unit while still having the benefit of being part of the whole school. In line with the aims of Sibford School, our children are encouraged to think and act in a way that encourages self-respect, understanding and tolerance. They quickly look to discover what is special and unique in each of the pupils and aim to nurture and foster their individual talents.
Senior School
At Sibford they firmly believe that each child is talented, each is different, but all are valued. Fundamental to this ethos is a belief in the importance of developing pupils’ enjoyment and excitement about learning. Students are encouraged to grow in confidence, broaden their horizons, demonstrate curiosity and to think independently. Self-esteem is enhanced with an enduring sense of personal value and a belief that we all have something to offer. They believe passionately in the uniqueness of every pupil and know it is our job to seek out and nurture their gifts and develop their confidence to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
