Lancing College is a co-educational boarding and day school for 13 to 18 year olds. The pupils come to Lancing from across the South East, from London and from around the world. They become part of a caring community with stretching horizons and ambitious goals. They build on pupils' strengths and ensure every child achieves their full potential.
Younger boys in the Third to Fifth Forms have their own alley (desk), and in the Sixth Form have individual pitts (rooms), as well as access to communal facilities such as common rooms, lockers, a pool room, showers, etc. spread over four floors. These facilities were refurbished in 2016.
Selection Criteria: Selective
The Admissions team at Lancing is very aware that choosing a senior school is one of the most important decisions a parent will make, and they are here to guide and support you through that journey.
A good starting point is the website which will give you a lot of information about what an education at Lancing can offer your child and how to apply. They would recommend the next step would be to get in touch, have a chat and arrange a visit. You may want a personal visit or prefer a Saturday Group Visit. A personal visit usually lasts around an hour and a half and they aim for prospective families to meet with the Head Master, spend some time in a House, have a tour of the school with a current pupil and also meet with me. Alternatively, you may prefer a Saturday Group Visit which includes a tour of the school and a House with a pupil and a meeting with the Head Master and key members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Senior School Fees 2022–2023:
Please note: Each younger sibling will receive a 10% sibling discount whilst the older sibling is at the College or the prep schools.
The Lancing Scholarship programme enables us to work with parents and schools to identify and foster the potential of gifted children, ensuring that they receive the best possible opportunity to develop their talent. Every year potential Scholars come together for Scholarship assessment days at Lancing; Scholarships are awarded to candidates on the basis of excellence demonstrated through a competitive assessment process. The Awards are made irrespective of financial means and typically attract a fee remission of 5–10%.
Scholars are expected to act as role models and ambassadors for Lancing and will be asked to play a prominent role in their area of specialism. This may well involve performing and demonstrating their talents in front of others both within and outside the school. A pupil may apply for a maximum of two scholarships, but no pupil may benefit financially from more than one award. A Lancing Scholarship is subject to informal annual review which takes place at the end of the school year.
