Mount St Mary's College is a Jesuit, Catholic co-educational independent day school and nursery for children aged three to 11.

Rugby, Hockey, Athletics, Cricket, Swimming and Netball are just some of the sports played competitively and they are also one of the few independent schools to have offer football in its sports programme. They cover many more sports in P.E. sessions, such as Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Fencing, Girls' ricket, Boys' Hockey and Rounders.
Drama is thriving at Mount St Mary’s College and all pupils are given the chance to learn about Performing Arts. It is taught on the timetable in Year 8 (Figures) and Year 9 (Rudiments) once a week. It is offered at both GCSE and A level and has become increasingly popular over the past three years.
Mount St Mary's College and Barlborough Hall School are proudly and resolutely academically inclusive. Notwithstanding this they reward outstanding talent by offering a limited number of scholarships every year. Scholarships are offered for demonstrable excellence in academia, music or sport at the point of entry into Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12.
