Newton Preparatory School is Independent Secondary school in Not applicable for kids aged 3 to 13 (Gender - 3 to 13 )
First, they are ambitious for the children. They want to provide them with exceptional opportunities both within the classroom and beyond. Ultimately, they want them to be equipped to apply to the best senior schools, whether day or boarding, in London or further afield. They are a co-educational school. This means that boys and girls learn together and play together. That seems to me the right way of things. They have outstanding facilities. Whilst facilities do not in and of themselves make a good school, they do mean that the children have wonderful opportunities, here on site. They can do Games on the large All-Weather pitch, do PE in one of the three sports halls, learn science in one of the 3 science labs, perform in our 300-seat auditorium or sing in the 125-seat Recital Hall.
Lower School
The Lower School (pupils from Nursery to Year 2) is a safe, happy and vibrant place of learning where all of the wonderful staff team nurture and value every child and are passionate about providing them all with an excellent start to their school life. The dedicated and enthusiastic teachers use their skills and experience to provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages creative thinking and problem-solving. They believe that hands-on experiences and play-based discovery foster a love of learning. Teachers maintain a balance between support and challenge to encourage children to take ownership of their learning and to help them to develop an awareness of their individual learning styles and personal goals.
Upper School
In the Upper School (pupils in Year 3 to Year 8) they continue to provide outstanding opportunities in all areas: academic, creative, physical, and social. They take a great deal of pride in the community and enjoy sharing in each other’s many and varied successes.Throughout the school, you will find motivated children, enjoying their learning in wonderful facilities. They have high expectations of all of our boys and girls. The pitch and pace of the curriculum is ambitious. The children learn to work hard; perseverance is one of our Core Values. It is the aim to provide the highest possible level of pastoral care so that each child flourishes at Newton Prep.
Clubs & Activities
For bright, enthusiastic children like they have at Newton Prep, the school day does not need to stop at 4pm. Newton Prep provides a substantial and varied co-curricular clubs and activities programme that runs alongside the challenging curriculum. The dynamic and inspirational staff offer over 40 different clubs each term, catering to a wide range of interests, for which parents are not charged. The variety and quality of the club provision encourage the learning and development of new skills, with club planning taking each child’s needs into consideration. Children build positive relationships with staff and often develop friendships with children in other year groups.

Corporate as well as individual donations are accepted. The NBF is also generously supported by the PTA of Newton Prep, which runs a biannual fundraising auction. They are proud of the Newton Bursary Fund as this enables a number of families to send their children to the School despite not being able to afford fees. Bursaries are awarded after a child has been assessed. The level of financial assistance is dictated by a means test. Bursaries are available for children entering the School from Year 3.
