Oxford House School is Independent Primary school in Essex for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )
They provide an outstanding curriculum which inspires and promotes success both academically and creatively, allowing our pupils to experience a window of opportunities. The small class sizes enable my dedicated staff to channel and differentiate accordingly to each pupil. We are an academic school following the Montessori sensorial method of learning. Nursery and Early Years
The formative years of a child’s education are full of excitement, exploration and discovery. Your child will begin to make friends, experience new opportunities and learn about a world beyond their home life.They know and understand that this is a very important time for both you and your child. Our Nursery staff are highly experienced, supportive and caring and are dedicated helping your child grow in confidence and independence. Each child is given one-to-one teaching and our excellent pupil to staff ratios ensure each child will have activities suited to their unique needs.
Lower School
After acquiring a solid foundation in the Early Years, pupils enjoy a wide curriculum designed to develop a love for learning. The school’s approach becomes more ‘formal’ in the traditional sense, and the curriculum becomes subject based. Children in Form II are introduced to 11+ Bond papers, including Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning, providing exam competence as well as valuable life skills.The use of specialist teachers enables all the pupils to benefit from expert tuition in all subjects including PE, Dance and Drama. In addition to this, Form II are introduced to weekly French and swimming lessons.
Upper School
They have high expectations for our pupils learning and behaviour. Pupils are expected to take responsibility for the younger pupils as well as themselves to which they are given positions of authority which help develop their leadership qualities.The secure foundations already laid continue throughout the upper school as pupils embrace mastery of learning and independence encouraging self-esteem and personal motivation. The use of specialist teachers enables all the pupils to benefit from expert tuition in all subjects including French, Music, Art, PE, Dance and Drama.

Wraparound Care
The Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am for pupils in Nursery II upwards (children must arrive before 8.10am). There are a variety of table activities and games to entertain the pupils and children are offered a nutritious breakfast. Breakfast Club must be booked in advance using the Cognita Connect school app. The cost per session is £5.After School Club runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 4.45pm and is open to all pupils from Nursery II upwards. This club can be booked on an ad-hoc, daily basis via the Cognita Connect app. Prices vary according to the child’s age and can be supplied upon request.
Extra-Curricular Clubs
Pupils from Reception upwards can enjoy a variety of activities after school including Cookery, Dance, Arts & Crafts, Gardening, Multisports, Fencing, Yoga and more. The extra-curricular club offer changes on a half-termly basis. Spaces are limited and half termly bookings are taken and charged via our Cognita Connect school app.
