Primrose Hill is a two form entry Primary School occupying an impressive, listed, Victorian building in a beautiful part of London. The school looks out on to Regent’s Canal and is near to a number of interesting places such as London Zoo, Camden Market and Regent’s Park, all of which are visited by the children. The two large playgrounds offer a range of learning opportunities including sports facilities, a garden and inspiring spaces for creative play. In addition, the separate Nursery building has its own enclosed playground. The Two Year Olds, Reception and Y1 have their own outside classrooms.

At Primrose Hill Primary School they provide a holistic and creative curriculum which maximises opportunities for meaningful cross-curricular links and purposeful learning experiences. They introduce the children to a breadth and wealth of subject specific knowledge and support them to develop the cognitive skills and expertise required to map out, manipulate and extend that knowledge in an ever-changing world. The teachers are responsive to their individual children’s needs and interests, whilst working within a detailed progression framework of knowledge and skills based on the National Curriculum.

The school is situated on the bank of the Regents Canal which provides easy access to Regents Park and Hampstead Heath, where we hold our Sports Day, and the centre of Camden, where our children enjoy events at the Roundhouse. Travelling by bus and tube, they ensure they make the most of learning opportunities afforded by London’s many museums, galleries and places of interest – London Museum, Hampstead Heath, British Film Institue, Canal Museum, London Maritime Centre, the Seaside, a range of religious buildings such as the London Buddhist Centre and the Gurdwara Sahib.
