Features

Things to note

Music
The music department exists primarily to provide an outstanding academic music education to students. Secondly, it exists to provide an inclusive, varied and aspirational extra curricular music programme

PE
They aim to provide enjoyment, pleasure and personal satisfaction through a wide variety of sports and activities both in curriculum and extra-curricular time. It is important to encourage potential in PE at whatever standard. We also believe that an understanding of the physiological value of exercise to improve physical fitness and well-being is paramount to the development of a well-coordinated and confident person.

Clubs and societies
School life is enhanced by a broad range of clubs and societies to appeal to a range of interests, skills and talents among our students, with many extra-curricular activities available throughout the school. The opportunity to take up a new challenge and to develop skills to a high level is a major attraction for many students. This can be a good way to make new friends through common interests and to start on what may become lifelong hobbies.

Extra-curricular listing
Many extra-curricular activities are available throughout the school. The opportunity to take up a new challenge and to develop skills to a high level is a major attraction to many students.
